GREENKEEPER

Full time

40 Hours per week

Shifts will include weekdays and weekends depending on business needs. Own transport advisable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of our course.
  • The role will include all tasks relating to course upkeep and preparation

KEY SKILLS, QUALITIES & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous greenkeeping experience would be an advantage, but training would be given.
  • Methodical and able to work on their own initiative
  • Flexibility to work various shifts

We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team at Farmhouse Kitchen, part of the beautiful Horsley Lodge Estate. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, professional kitchen while working with high-quality, seasonal ingredients in a stunning countryside setting. This is an ideal role for someone starting their culinary career or looking to grow their experience in a supportive and ambitious team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of fresh, high-quality dishes under the guidance of senior chefs

  • Help with basic food prep including chopping, peeling, and measuring ingredients

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen at all times

  • Support plating and presentation to ensure dishes leave the pass looking their best

  • Ensure food is prepared and stored according to health & safety and hygiene standards

  • Receive and store deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation and minimal waste

  • Work efficiently to support the smooth running of kitchen service during busy periods

  • Be proactive in learning and developing new skills from the kitchen brigade

  • Assist in daily cleaning duties and kitchen close-down procedures

KEY SKILLS, QUALITIES & EXPERIENCE

  • A genuine passion for food and a desire to learn and grow in a professional kitchen

  • Some previous kitchen or food prep experience is beneficial but not essential

  • Strong work ethic with a can-do attitude and willingness to take instruction

  • Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Good time management and organisational skills

  • Understanding of basic food hygiene and safety standards (Level 1 Food Hygiene preferred)

  • Keen attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality dishes

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency and high standards.
  • Manage and train staff, providing guidance and support to foster a positive work environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering to ensure the availability of necessary supplies.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly.
  • Oversee scheduling to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours and special events.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Contribute to marketing and promotional activities to increase customer engagement and sales.

KEY SKILLS, QUALITIES & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including front and back-of-house management.
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and other restaurant management software.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, and kitchen staff.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining quality service standards.
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reconciliation.
Assist in staff training, development, and performance evaluations.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

KEY SKILLS, QUALITIES & EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience as a Food & Beverage Supervisor or in a similar role.

  •  Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
  •  Replenish stock and supplies as needed.
  •  Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately.
  •  Assist in other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager.
